Dear Janice, I have just finished reading your story in A Season of Miracles. I loved Jack and Callie. You made me almost have to put the book down on the train, with the part of Jack and Callie making love for the first time and boy, did you make me cry at the end, which by the way, was very romantic and touching. I am a 52 year old African American woman and I have been married for almost 30 years. I have been a romance novel reader for a lot of years. I have read Danielle Steele, Rosemary Rogers, etc., but I never really picked up an african american romance novel. My two younger sisters tease me for the type of romance novels that I read. One of them is a big Jerome Dicky fan. I try to explain to them that I am not partically interested in reading about thugs, gangstas, video ho's etc. I also have a problem with the language be it old time slave talk or modern day slang. Your novella in a Season of Miracles has enlightened me that there are some fantastic black authors that write great romance novels. I am looking forward to reading more of your books and I truly want to thank you for introducing me to african american romance. Love and Happiness, Debra Chatman

Janice, I have always enjoyed your writing, and have read many of yoru books. I just completed One fine day. I enjoyed the whole Bryant series. I learn alot about vineyards and the story lines were intriguing. Please continue to write stories that a wonderfully loving and informational. Have you ever considered writing a series about a more mature love? LIke a older couple just like Willow and Joe? I think having a mature woman fall in love and or having a story about a couple who has been married for more than 5 years can be interesting. Let me know you thought and please know that I give you high praise for your wonderful books.

Since this is my Web site, I'm posting this here. It may be a while before there's an update, so I wanted those checking out the guest book to at least know that all three books in the Bryant Winery trilogy are available as of October 1. It is with great pleasure that I announce that the entire Bryant Winery trilogy is available as of October 1, 2007. Now there is no waiting to find out how the trilogy concludes. No more questions about Erica and Joshua's marriage. Did it survive? Are they expecting a little Knight? And no more questions about Franklyn and whether or not he survived the car going over the cliff in Constant Craving. You can read all three novels this weekend. And once you've read them, I hope you'll want to tell your friends what they've been missing! Or, better, you can write a review online and tell the whole world what you think of the trilogy. So order your copies today from Amazon.com or BN.com. Once on their Web sites simply put my name in their search engines. Waiting for You (April 2005); Constant Craving (December 2006); One Fine Day (October 2007) Once you've finished reading them please drop me a line or two and let me know what you think! Jani569432@aol.com Feel free to send this to your online friends. But I'm asking you not to post it on any other authors' blogs or Web sites. I don't want to step on anyone's toes. Thank you for your kindness and continued support! Janice www.janicesims.com www.amazon.com www.bn.com

I'm a vid-head. Love movies, DVDs, videos. Maybe I ought to pick up one of your books. Which one do you suggest for a guy? I don't want anything mushy. You SAY you don't write mushy romance novels, but aren't they all mushy? Will write you personally with my E-mail address. Am on the road right now. Hi Janice, I just finished reading your book Constant Cravings. I love your writing and your plots - the ending through me for a loop! There was one item that caught my attention: when describing Tamryn's color selections(red and white, Elise infers that she was a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. However, the red and white are Delta Sigma Theta's colors - Alpha Kappa Alpha colors are pink and green. Keep up the good work!

Janice, Love all your books. I have been a fan since the beginning. Just finished reading Constant Cravings and like others have wrote the ending leaves you hanging. I was wondering if you had noticed that you write about when Elise met Derrick twice in your book and you give to different scenarios. First, you state that they met while she was assisting her cousing with her catering business (page 63)and then you state she met him when he jumped onto the cable car (page 256).

I just finished reading Constant Craving, I really enjoyed the book. Thank-you for bringing Franklyn and Elise together after so many years of them gazing at each other from afar. The only faux pas I found was in the mention of Tamryn's sorority. The colors for Alpha Kappa Alpha are pink and green. The colors for Delta Sigma Theta are crimson and cream, but we use red and white. I can't wait until June 2007 for Jason and Sara's story. Until then.

Ms. Sims, The other day I read your book 'To Have and To Hold' Well I must tell you how much I enjoyed it and I can hardly wait to move on to the rest of your books. I have been smiling all the time since finishing it. It was so very inspiring about true love and black folks true love. I just could not get enough of it. Mr. Steele can forget about it. Your are my romance writer now. I'm so sorry it took so long for me to find your extreme and pleasant talent. I love you! Seriuosly though, I look forward to cuddling up with your book this winter. Keep up the great, good, and inspiring work. I must tell you I read 'To Have And To Hold' in one sitting, so until I get to the store I'm reading it again. My fiancee' just shakes his head at me. Its funny to me. I'm having a blast. And I tell everyone I speak with about your books. If your are ever in the northeast I would love to meet you at a book signing or perhaps to share a meal. GOD bless you Janice Sims. Peace, Beverly

Thank you so much for my weekend read. I enjoyed "That Summer at American Bch" and of course it brought back memories of my teen years from walking the waterfront to running down "Nana". I even have two co-workers and friends that work at Gourmet Gourmet restaurant. My children never had the chance to experience the American Beach as I did but your book will allow them to visualize a romantic side to my life. Even though your book is fiction to the world, to me and my friends it happens to be real. Thank you so much for writing this book and I look forward to reading your other books and will let the world know just how much I enjoyed them! It was a pleasure meeting you and may God Bless you always!

Hi Janice -- I found your book "That Summer at American Beach" at a bookstore in Fernandina Beach last week while giving a tour for senior citizens from St. Augustine. Part of the trip involved a pass through at American Beach so I was thrilled to find your book. I never met the beach lady but wish I had. I have been very involved in black history here in St. Augustine (Butler Beach is our American Beach). I hope get up to see you on Sept. 2nd. If possible email me. Perhaps I can tell you a bit about St. Augustine's black history. Anyway, keep writing! Karen Harvey

Dear Janice: You have succinctly given the voice of American Beach to the world by creating a story that tells of the romance and enchantment on American Beach like none before you. Your love and knowledge of American Beach comes through crystal clear. This story does justice to the American Beach good times and memory banks carried away at vacations end. All readers can identify with the characters, personalities and situations created through the years. I love this story absolutely. Please let us through an American Beach book signing for you as soon as possible. Any excuse to celebrate. This book is a sizzle for people of all ages. I will review it in The Florida Star and send you a copy. Thanks for taking the love of beautiful American Beach around the world. Sincerely, Marsha

Hi Jocelyn, In order not to give the plot away, I'll just say that after Dominique jumped on Henri at her family's annual harvest ball, and several secrets were revealed, from that point on she and Henri had an understanding. She realized that he'd been subjected to emotional abuse by their father as much as she had, only in a different way. I'm so happy you enjoyed Waiting for You. The next book in the trilogy, Constant Craving, will be available in December. However, please don't miss several other releases earlier in the year: Reissue of A Very Special Love, an award-winning anthology, in April. That Summer at American Beach in May, a full-length novel that's part of the Sizzling Sands series. And All in the Family, another anthology, also in May. It's about mothers and daughters, and the unique, sometimes tumultuous, relationship we have with our mothers.

I just finished Waiting For You and the only problem I have is that I can't wait to get Constant Craving. I really enjoyed the book. However, I have one comment. Waiting For You leaves us to assume that all is well with Dominique and Henri without the sabotage of the barrels really being addressed. I guess we are to understand that Etienne treated the issue as he would have if the culprit were Dominique since Henri is his son. I realize that this was just a side plot. Again, I enjoyed the book and want to hear more of their story.

My first Janice Sims' book was Out of the Blue. Been totally hooked ever since. Unique, well-written, and just hot enough, I couldn't ask for more. Yet there is so much more. Enjoyed To Have and To Hold and more recently Waiting For You. Glad its a trilogy; sorry I have to wait a year to read Franklyn and Elise's story. Oh well. I'm answering Louise's question right here just in case there are others who visit the guestbook and would like to know what my 2006 line-up will be. As some of you know, BET Books was recently sold to Harlequin Enterprises. As far as I know, I'll have the following books released in 2006: Re-issue of A VERY SPECIAL LOVE in April. It was a Mother's Day anthology first published in 2000. My story in it, The Keys to My Heart, won the Romance in Color Novella of the Year Award. So, please try it if you haven't. THAT SUMMER AT AMERICAN BEACH in May. This is a full-length novel that's a part of the Sizzling Sands series, Arabesque's series that highlights historically African American Beaches. American Beach is in Florida. CONSTANT CRAVING in December. The second book in the Bryant Winery Trilogy. This is Franklyn and Elise's story. It's set in San Francisco. Franklyn and Elise are both chefs. He owns The Vineyard, a restaurant in San Francisco, and Elise is his pastry chef. Don't miss this one. I had a wonderful time writing it, and I know you're going to love it. Wishing you all peace and love for this holiday season, Janice

Janice, I think that you are a great writer and I have enjoyed all of your work. I am currently reading your lastest release and as always it has captured my interest from the very first word. I will never forget the fact that you sent me an autographed copy of the one book that I had not read. I am already a fan and will continue to be. Best wishes. Carla, Texas

Yes, another guestbook design. I couldn't control the width of the other book and the email forwards didn't work properly. Email me confirmation that this message was recieved.
